- Established by Moscow International University and Sochi Business School in 1997. Moscow IU is one of the first (1992) private Universities in Russia. The main goal of SIU is to facilitate formation in Russia of a new social group of entrepreneurs and international managers.
- All students are taught a cross-curriculum course Professional Meetings Planners and Events Organizers. They have placements at the students Congress Bureau in the modules of Office Procedures, Public Relations, ITs and Customer Care. The University management sees very good prospects for Convention and Visitors bureau business in Sochi, and helps its establishment.
- All students study The English and two other European languages.

The Graduate School has been fully accredited by the Russian Federation. The Graduate School's graduates receive state diplomas which are valid abroad. The MBA Program has been accredited by the European Council for Business Education. This indicates that the Graduate School's MBA program meets contemporary international requirements in business education. The Master of Environmental Science Program was initiated in collaboration with the Educational Department of Moscow Government and Moscow Environmental Foundation which pays full tuition for the students. Educational programs and organization of educational processes in the Graduate School are developed on the basis of the best Russian and foreign. graduate schools'experience. Some basic courses like Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Law are taught by both Russian and foreign professors, allowing students to study both Russian and foreign experience in corresponding fields. The students get basic training in the main required courses and special training in their Majors. For example, the students of the Master of Journalism Program have internships at such newspapers as «MK» (Moskovskiy Komsomolets) and « Independent Paper» (Nezavisimaya Gazeta) taking part in editorial work and writing articles. Students choose their majors according to their individual priorities from any number of research projects and special classes. Usually the students make their choice according to what they are most deeply interested in and what field they expect to be working. Some examples are: Marketing at Financial Manage-ment, Auditing, Project Investment, Banking, Stock Market, Editorial Management, Mass Media and Public Relations, Policy and Economic Analysis.
