Sochi City Tour
A pleasant drive along the Black Sea coast, walks in the parks,

"Dendrarium"
(A Garden of Trees)
Trees planted 100 years ago.The Park is arranged in French
Asymmetrical style and decorated with Italian sculpures. It's a
nice escape from the heat in summer. For professionals and
amateurs in landscape gardening. For romantic travellers.
Yew-and Box-Tree
Grove
A real rarity: a trip to the pre-historic European forest. A long
walk , nice views, legends, a small museum of local flora and
fauna. Pleasant even for those who don't take sports wear on the
trip, to say nothing of those who take it.
The Tree of Friendship
About 40 types of citrus fruits on one tree. Graftings done by
famous people. Museum of souvenirs from all over the world. A
Paradise of flowers.
For years the Tree and its Garden impressed those whose fingers
are green, people of Goodwill, school children, sentimental
ladies, very tough men, politicians.

Tea-Party.
The only Russian tea plantations, the Nothernmost place for tea
in the world, beautiful panorama and a lecture on the History of
Tea, Museum of Samovars and crafts, Tea-party in a Russian wooden
Izba, souvenirs. A collection of Russian impressions.
Fine Arts
Exhibition Hall
A little shop of Russian Amber, icons, paintings and crafts. A
big display of recent paintings. One can trace the history of
Russian painting this century. For reasonable shoppers. For those
who can't live a day without Exhibitions. For everyone on a rainy
day.
Theatres
, circus, concerts. The best performances - in
August, September and October. Nice local performers , musicians,
singers - all the year round. For those who hate evenings in the
hotel and restaurants. For people on a diet. For those who are
fond of music. For couples who haven't been at performances for
ages. For those who value cultural events even away from the
Bolshoj Theatre.
Outing to the
mountains
First, driving away from the restaurants, hotels and crowds. And
finally, this "Oh-so-good-to-be-enjoying nature-"
feeling, with a taste of real fresh air.
For the travelers, who like to be aware of where they are.
A trip
to Krasnaya Polyana -
a settlement 30 km away from the sea side into the mountains, it
is being turned into a sports and tourism complex.

- this is a Russian name for an Indian Summer, when the Autumn is
already
here, but the weather is still nice and warm, as in Summer. This
is the time to have a competition for designers with a final
presentation of their models.
Neptune's Holiday
Neptune is the God of Oceans and Seas of the world. His day in
Summer is a show staged on Sochi beaches for children. It's a
particularly special event for boys, as they sing and play
together with Captain Flint and his pirates. If you're a grown up
and serious - well, this is the day to remember that you were a
kid some time ago, and still can be
Beer Exhibition
Russian beer nominations - awarded by professionals and amateurs
in beer 
tasting. An amateur turns into a
professional in a day, as beer differs as tastes do. Moscow-Sochi
air-planes are sold out for the period of theExhibition: they
say, in Moscow they can't remember when beer was as cheap as it
is in Sochi during the Exhibition, - and the range of Russian
beer available in one place has never been as varied. The
Exhibition attracts more and more producers and visitors each
year. This is the time to learn the very special Russian style of
beer drinking - with dry salted fish, with caviar, or with
baranki (bublichki)..
Cinema Festival
"Cinotaur"
What's a Cinotaur? - Nobody knows - yet, the name is a mixture -
something of cinema, something of shows, something of a Taurus,
something of a Centaur. A very cinotarial event: cinotaurus
expectations, cinotaurus discoveries, cinotaurus people,
cinotaurus audiences, cinotaurus publicity. For cinotarial
spectators.
Sports
Sochi and sports always go together - in Summer, Autumn, Winter
and Spring. Yachting and water skiing, white water events and
mountain bicycling, snow boarding and skiing, parachute diving
and field events, hiking, auto-race, tennis, box, volleyball,
football, open-water swimming, mountain climbing, boat trips,
helicopter trips, and even (!) chess competitions.
These days there is the annual Spring all-Russia cycle race held
in Sochi.
Yachting is a relatively new recreation activity in Russia. Yet,
for decades Sochi has been a traditional host of the professional
yachting race. The Yachting center provides yachts for rent,
conducts boat trips and fishing in the sea.
